Westwood Residences EC – Grant (For First Timer Only)

 

The CPF Housing Grant is a housing subsidy (in the form of CPF monies) provided by the Government.

The grant assists eligible first-timer family to buy an EC from the developer.

Detailed Description

Citizenship

You are a Singapore Citizen.

 

Your family nucleus must comprise at least another Singapore Permanent Resident or Singapore Citizen.

Age

21 years old and above

Family Nucleus

You are applying with your:

  • Spouse and children (if any), or

  • Fiancé / fiancée (must be able to produce your marriage certificate, latest by the date of keys collection), or

  • Children under your legal custody, care and control (if widowed or divorced)

Household Status

You and the essential family members listed in the application for purchase of the flat must not:

  • Be the owners of a flat bought direct from HDB, a DBSS flat or an Executive Condominium bought from the developer

  • Have sold a flat bought direct from HDB, a DBSS flat or an Executive Condominium bought from the developer

  • Have received the CPF Housing Grant for the purchase of an HDB resale flat

  • Have taken other forms of housing subsidy (for example, benefitted under the Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme, privatisation of HUDC estate etc)

The Citizen Top-Up of $10,000 is a housing subsidy for eligible SC / SPR households*

who had taken a CPF Housing Grant for Family of $20,000

or CPF Housing Grant for Family

or taken a tiered CPF Housing Grant for Family# to buy Executive Condominiums (EC) projects launched for public sale.

#CPF Housing Grant for First Timer EC Buyers (SC / SPR household)

* The SC / SPR household is defined as one where the original EC application comprises of a Singapore Citizen (SC) and a Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR).

The SC / SPR household will qualify for the Citizen Top-Up when:

    • the SPR spouse who is the co-applicant / co-owner / occupier originally listed in the EC application subsequently becomes a SC,

    • an SC child is born to the SC applicant / owner and spouse originally listed in the EC application, or

    • the SPR parent / child / sibling# originally listed in the EC application subsequently becomes a SC.

# Conversion of sibling to SC to qualify for the Citizen Top-Up applies only to EC purchased under the Orphans Scheme and Non-Citizen Spouse Scheme.

The SC / SPR household can apply for the Citizen Top-Up if they meet the conditions, prior to taking possession of the EC.

The SC / SPR household can also apply for the Citizen Top-Up for their existing EC,

provided there is continuous occupation of the EC by the SC owner and SPR co-owner / essential occupier.

Upon the sale of the EC in the open market, the SC / SPR household will not be eligible to apply for the Citizen Top-Up.

The Citizen Top-Up is only given to:

    • SC spouse who was previously a SPR and listed as a co-applicant / co-owner of the EC, or

    • Original SC applicant / owner, if the SC spouse who was previously a SPR is an occupier of the EC, or

if the eligibility for Citizen Top-Up is due to birth of a SC child or conversion of SPR parent / child / sibling to SC.
